Easy Crock Pot meal beef stew in three steps
Meat + Crock Pot = Lunch
Math is clear. Beef stew is one of the ordinary meals I prepare when I don’t have any new ideas, or enough time to cook something in the kitchen.
A piece of beef can always be found in the freezer, it doesn’t even have to be the most representative one.
All that poor quality will be ironed by Crock Pot.
If you don’t have beef, you can use anything else. Therefore, this is the best lunch. Put what you got.
So, if you have meat, you already have half a lunch. And if you do not love to cook this day, or you do not have time to cook, then you have a Crock Pot.
Two „I have“ your lunch is done.
What kind of meat piece you have is not so important because the main thing about Crock pot is the part when the dish is supposed to cook slowly. Slow cooking will soften even the toughest pieces of meat.
What do we need for beef stew?
Basically, this beef stew is not much different from any I have seen or made so far. But sometimes, beef stew could be completely different with changing only one ingredient.
So let’s say, what would be the icing on the cake. In this case of beef stew, that would be ricotta and pecorino cheese.
We need 500 gr of beef cut into 2,5 cm cubes. The good thing is that you will not have to worry about the size of the cube because it is totally irrelevant. With slow cooking on the end, the meat will be so soft and will melt in your mouth.
Do not forget a can of tomatoes, which will contribute to the color and as the taste, garlic, beef broth, carrot, thyme (fresh or dried), pecorino, ricotta, and pappardelle.
Substitution for ricotta cheese is sour cream or Greek yogurt. If you don’t have pecorino cheese you can use whatever you have but it is better to put old and hard cheese like parmesan for example.
I’m telling you, we are saving, and using leftovers from the fridge at the same time.
