You are all invited

In order to be able to feel and experience this, you first need to come to Split.

There are some insider info on how to get here.

Without further a due, don’t hesitate, you’re all invited 🙂 .

Trip to Split and …

Split’s “Riva”

I would start from here, as an inevitable part of your stay in Split. The ones who still haven’t had their coffee or a drink on Split promenade, have missed out a lot.

Diocletian’s Palace

You should know that the palace and all the buildings it consists of are on UNESCO list. What you surely shouldn’t miss is a Copper gate as the main entrance into the Diocletian’s mausoleum. Diocletian’s mausoleum was built of white rock from island Brac, and is one of the best-preserved antiques from the Roman period.

There used to be three of them, and now there is just one left, and it is the Temple of Jupiter.

In order for this post to be completely about its assignment and take us on another savoury trip, you should know what Diocletian’s kitchen was like.

A view from Marjan

It is not much of a hill, as it is only 178 meters high, but there is a glorious view stretching from there. An ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle, for long walks and even free climbing. You can get there by a bus from Split Riva.

Get lost in the streets of the old town

It’s not so difficult, given that they are very narrow and you can turn in all directions 🙂

Temperamental Dalmatians

Guess what, is this a foodball game of Split’s (famouse foodball club) Hajduk or is something else at stake?

Hajduk had a day off, but the torches are used for an unusual wedding 🙂 .

If you get a chance, at least from the sidelines to participate in their traditional wedding, do not miss.

It will probably be different from anything you have seen so far 🙂 .

Rent a bike

If you are a true advocate of a healthy lifestyle, my suggestion for you is RENT A BIKE. I don’t know if you’ve heard of such options, but in Split, it is very popular. There are a couple of renting and exploring agencies in Split, and one of them is this.  Apart from heaving a healthy day, you can join some of the organized tours through Split.

Taxi boats

They are parked by the Riviera shore, and they can take you to islands Ciovo, Solta, Vis, Brac and other island destinations along with a tour guide. You can find a lot of offers online, as well as a huge number of transportation means, for example, ferries or smaller private ones as this one in the photo.

Split is an ideal place and a starting spot for one-day outings. Don’t forget to get a city map and get lots of discounts. What, where and at what price you can get things, you can download here.

You can also be a part of the ‘Game of Thrones’ tour 🙂

Be a part of jet set

Give in to the new life adventure and rent a sailing or a motor boat (along with a skipper) and explore Dalmatia and Split from the sea.

Here are all official possibilities for that kind of adventure

Night life

Festivals

3. Flower festival in May

4. Music festival in June

5. July and August are for Summer festivals

6. September is an ideal time for a Film festival

Free visits to museums

You can go to the City museum, Ethnographic museum, St. Duje cathedral for free if you have Split city map. You will also get 10% to 50% discount for the rest of the museums and galleries, among which you should definitely see Mestrovic Gallery. The discount includes renting a car, restaurants, and shops as well.

Going to the beach

When you’ve had enough walking, the time is right to get some suntan. Apart from Bacvice, Znjan which are well-known to all, my warm recommendation is Kasjuni beach, just below Marjan.

Newly decorated, protected from wind and it has everything you can need for a successful day: a café, changing rooms, showers, and a toilet.

Food

All we now have to do is have a great meal and form our impressions.
