Once it turns its colour, remove from the pan, and set aside.<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>Wash the spinach and remove the stems if needed. In the same pan where the bacon is stewed, add spinach and saute for 2 minutes. <\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>In a separate bowl whisk together two eggs, add a little bit of olive oil, juice of half a lemon, spinach, bacon, and season with nutmeg, cumin, pepper and salt if needed.<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>Coat the baking pan (plus with a little bit of olive oil) in which you will bake the pie with 2-3 phyllo sheets on the bottom so that the ends come out of the pan. You will cover the pie with these ends. Dip the rest of the phyllo sheets into an egg, spinach, and bacon mixture. Then layer them lightly all around the bottom of the baking pan. Carefully fill the \"pockets\" between the segments of phyllo dough with extra of mixture eggs, bacon, spinach.<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>When you reach the top of the pan (2-3cm from the bottom), place the final dry phyllo sheets, and use all the parts of phyllo dough that comes out of the baking pan to better cover the top of the pie. Coat the pie with a whipped egg and bake for 30-40 minutes at 180 \u00b0<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<li>Leave to rest 5 minutes after oven but before cutting.<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/ol>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>So there are no worries about the dough. Just go to the supermarket and buy it.&nbsp; I always choose the thinnest that I can find.<\/p>\n<p>We as a family, love crunchy and crispy things. That&rsquo;s why my pies are always like that, well done in the oven.<\/p>\n<p>What I keep in mind, all the time,&nbsp; is how I arrange the phyllo sheets in a baking pan, and of course the thickness of the pie itself. The thicker the pie, the lest crunchy inside it is. This pie was 3cm high.<\/p>\n<p>The second step is to saute smoked bacon in a pan with a little olive oil. I added some garlic, not more than 1-2 cloves.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Pita-sa-spanacem-i-slaninom-L-ova.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow noopenner noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-11916\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Pita-sa-spanacem-i-slaninom-L-ova-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Spinach, Bacon pie\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After bacon is done. Remove it and put baby spinach in the same pan. The spinach with larger leaves may do, but in that case, you need to make extra work to remove the hard parts (stems) of spinach. Spinach takes about 2 minutes to saute.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Pita-sa-spanacem-i-slaninom_2L-ova.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow noopenner noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-11917\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Pita-sa-spanacem-i-slaninom_2L-ova-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Burek sa spana&#263;em\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Put 2 eggs in a separate bowl, mix them. Add 200ml of Greek yogurt, a little bit of olive oil, 1\/2 lemon juice, some white pepper. Put back bacon and spinach in that mixture and combine well. Add some cumin and nutmeg in powder.<\/p>\n<p>And then we are ready to assembly, but before we have a bonus part &hellip;<\/p>\n<h2>More good combinations with spinach<\/h2>\n<p>spinach + bacon + garlic + apple cider vinegar<\/p>\n<p>bacon + nuts + spinach<\/p>\n<p>spinach + chives + goat cheese + mascarpone<\/p>\n<p>spinach + parmesan + fennel + balsamico + portobello mushrooms<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Pita-sa-spanacem-i-slaninom_4L-ova.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow noopenner noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-11918\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Pita-sa-spanacem-i-slaninom_4L-ova-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Pita sa spanacem i slaninom\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Assembly the spinach pie<\/h2>\n<p>Place a few phyllo sheets at the bottom of the baking pan so that a part of them comes out of the pan. With that part, you will cover the top of the pie on all sides.<\/p>\n<p>Dip the rest of the phyllo sheets into the eggs and spinach mixture and layer them lightly in the baking pan. Do not press the phyllo to make it fit in the pan. Arrange the extra of the prepared mixture with eggs and spinach all around in the empty pockets of the puffy dough.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Pita-sa-spanacem-i-slaninom_12L-ova.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow noopenner noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-11913\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Pita-sa-spanacem-i-slaninom_12L-ova-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Pita od spana&#263;a\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Leave one part of phyllo dough sheets without mixture for the top of the pie. You will cover your pie with them.
