A lot of us don’t relate a romantic weekend<\/strong> with children and all the fuss around them, no matter how old they are. If you asked me at the time, if it was possible to organize a romantic trip, or even harder, a weekend with children, I would immediately answer ‘What on Earth are you talking about!’<\/p>\n

However, now I’ve made sure multiple times into something completely opposite.<\/p>\n

A trip or a weekend can still be a romantic one, even with the kids.<\/strong><\/p>\n

First, you have to pick a location which meets all of you requirements, both yours and the kids’.<\/p>\n

One of the solutions is traveling to France<\/strong> and visiting an absolute pearl of the French Alps<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Annecy, pearl of the French Alps<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Annecy<\/strong>, one of the most charming towns in France. It lies in the Savoy region, just 40 kilometers away from Geneva, on the Southeast of France. The city is intertwined with canals, so it closely resembles Venice.<\/strong><\/p>\n
The central spot is a second-sized lake in the entire France, which was named after the very town in which it is.<\/p>\n
<\/iframe><\/p>\nIn case you didn’t know…<\/strong><\/p>\nAnnecy…<\/p>\nWas a host of the Tour de France.<\/strong><\/p>\nIs nominated as the 4th<\/sup> French city<\/strong> to host the Winter Olympic Games in 2018<\/strong>, after Chamonix, Grenoble and neighboring Albertville.<\/p>\nThe house of Solomon group<\/strong> is in Annecy (manufacture and sale of one of the prestigious sports equipment).<\/p>\nIt has high level of culture… it is the host of the animated international film festival which is certainly worthy of attention.<\/p>\nHow to get to Annecy?<\/strong><\/p>\nIt depends on your location…<\/p>\nIn case you start your trip directly from Serbia, i.e. Belgrade, and you go by car, prepare for a longer drive. You may decide to spend another night somewhere down the road.<\/p>\nI usually combine this kind of trip<\/strong> with an additional visit or a topic. For the previous three times when I visited Annecy, I made two combinations. A winter variation, with skiing in France, for example Megev or Chamonix, and the second time, my idea was to visit <a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/category\/tiganj-u-roamingu\/svajcarska\/\">Geneva<\/a><\/span>, <a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/category\/tiganj-u-roamingu\/svajcarska\/\">Gryeres<\/a><\/span>, <a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/category\/tiganj-u-roamingu\/francuska\/ferney-voltaire\/\">Ferney Voltaire<\/a><\/span>, <a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/category\/tiganj-u-roamingu\/francuska\/juzna-burgundija\/\">South Burgundy<\/a><\/span><\/span>, and I was stationed in Geneva.<\/p>\nIn case you are less than 1300 kilometers away from Annecy<\/strong>, you should check whether there is some option of traveling from your place in cooperation with a tourist office and organized transportation.<\/p>\nTry applying this by googling from Geneva to the city in which you are, if you want to avoid driving there yourself.<\/p>\nFor example…<\/p>\nIf you’re stationed in Geneva, you can get to Annecy in two ways.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Organized, from Geneva<\/strong> with a tour guide. Then, you can just give in to the magic of the Alp Venice, as Annecy is also called, and you don’t have to think about anything. You can find such offers on <a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tripadvisor.com\/AttractionProductDetail?product=2510KT371&d=232436&aidSuffix=xsell&partner=Viator\" rel=\"nofollow noopenner noreferrer\">TripAdvisor<\/a><\/span><\/span>, just like the possibility to make a reservation for your place. The prices vary from 6700<\/strong> to 11 500<\/strong> RSD and departure is from the Geneva bus station.<\/li>\n<li>You can also decide to go by yourself<\/strong>, like I did this time and the previous one- by rent a car or your own vehicle from Geneva or Chamonix or Magev.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\nAs I’ve been to Annecy <\/strong>multiple times, or, two times with my husband and very young children, and once solo, everything that I’m going to write will be from my personal experience.<\/p>\nOne weekend is more than enough time for this trip, so you can organize the entire romantic weekend<\/strong> or just a one-day trip from the trip to the accommodation in combination <a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/en\/dark-history-chillon-castle-lake-geneva\/\">with this<\/a><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<h2>Be your personal chauffeur<\/strong><\/h2>\nI went there twice in March and once in June.<\/p>\nWhen I went there the last time, I was my own chauffeur and I could choose the trip I would take on my way to and from Annecy.<\/p>\nAt the beginning of a trip, I am very enthusiastic and in a positive mood,<\/strong> but when the trip is coming to an end, that enthusiasm slowly decreases and vanishes. That is what my suitcases look like too… upon the arrival everything is neatly packed, and on the way back, I bring half of the things in the bags.<\/p>\nAnd so, I, in a very enthusiastic mood, organized the drive down the romantic roads through the Swiss and French villages<\/strong>. The ride back was on the highway- a fast and easy way.<\/p>\n<h2>How to organize a romantic trip with kids?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3>Annecy, a weekend in France.<\/strong><\/h3>\nRomantics begins with the first stop check…<\/p>\n<h3>Pont (brigde) de Caille<\/strong><\/h3>\nFirst stop over on the road from Geneva to Annecy, we made by the Charles Albert<\/strong> (king of Sardinia) bridge, which is known as Caille <\/strong>bridge.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-most_44.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6270\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-most_44.png\" alt=\"Weekend in France, Annecy\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"><\/a><\/p>\nIt is about 30 kilometers from Geneva, or 15 kilometers from Annecy.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Situation-Map-of-the-Ponts-de-la-Caille.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6638 size-full\" title=\"Picture taken from the Internet\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Situation-Map-of-the-Ponts-de-la-Caille.jpg\" alt=\"Weekend in France Annecy\" width=\"600\" height=\"500\"><\/a><\/p>\nIt was built in 1839, and it is 147 meters high and 192 meters long, over the river <a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Les_Usses\" rel=\"nofollow noopenner noreferrer\">Usses<\/a><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-most-22.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6269\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-most-22.png\" alt=\"Weekend in France, Annecy\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"><\/a><\/p>\nKids would love running down this bridge and jumping into the spring puddles.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-most_55.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6271\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-most_55.png\" alt=\"Weekend in France, Annecy\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\"><\/a><\/p>\nThe pause by the bridge lasted for about 15 minutes, just as long as it took me to run it as well, breath the freshness and make some photos as a memory. If the weather is sunny, you can even see glimpses of <a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mont_Blanc\" rel=\"nofollow noopenner noreferrer\">Mont Blanc<\/a><\/span><\/span> in the distance.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-most_66.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6272\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-most_66.png\" alt=\"Weekend in France, Annecy\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\"><\/a><\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-most-00.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6268\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-most-00.png\" alt=\"Weekend in France, Annecy\" width=\"400\" height=\"600\"><\/a><\/p>\nI clearly felt the joy of being on the road with your family<\/strong> here, and I started thinking how much it actually meant to me. Such a simple word, and yet so meaningful.<\/p>\nWhat I came to conclusion is common for every family<\/strong>, is that the beings we call our family are in some special way very important to us. There’s no difference whether you consider your friends your family, or even your pets, and they will support you to progress at some point in time.<\/p>\nAfter the bridge, I had around 15 kilometers to Annecy left. Upon the arrival to the city, I met and dealt with the problem of parking.<\/p>\nLuckily, there are parking spaces everywhere, the open ones as well as the closed ones. Just relax and let the road take you. Annecy is not such a big city, so there is no way you could get lost.<\/p>\nI found a good one on the very entrance in the city center.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-LL.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6267\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-LL.png\" alt=\"Weekend in France, Annecy\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\"><\/a><\/p>\nOnce you’re happily parked, spread the baby carriage if you’re taking small children and get going. We did so at the time.<\/p>\nMy advice is to tire them out, so that you can get some time for the two of you.<\/p>\n<h3>European Garden<\/strong><\/h3>\nRight behind the parking, there’s the park European Garden<\/strong>.<\/p>\nA beautiful park with lots of greens. You can (like many do) organize a picnic <\/strong>there, throw a blanket and roll on the grass with your entire family. You’ll remember this till the end of your life. It’s an unforgettable experience. My kids talk about that even today.<\/p>\nThese are pictures from March 2003, when we sat on the grass with a blanket, in the park which is crowded during the summer. When I remember this beauty, I understand why the French are fighting for the 35-working-hour week.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-10L.png\"><img width=\"1600\" height=\"1200\"><\/a><\/p>\nIf you ask me if I would go back to Annecy<\/strong>, my answer is YES.<\/p>\n<a src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-11L.png\" alt=\"Weekend in France, Annecy\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\"><\/a><\/p>\nWhen you’re finished rolling, there’s a kids’ park<\/strong> there… you can sit on the bench, and they can go to the park… the French thought about everything… You can exhaust them for an additional hour there, for sure, it just takes them to go through each requisite at least once.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy_5L.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone kisses and support, in one word, love, can be a solution for great mood, happiness, confidence and health of a child.<\/strong><\/p>\n<a can take them to feed swans<\/strong> together. Those moments <\/strong>are said to create permanent bonds.<\/strong><\/p>\n<a height=\"1365\"><\/a><\/p>\nIf you’re experienced, you can also rent a boat as a fast adrenaline variation of a romantic trip, you’re certainly going to be provided with a safety belt for the kids, so Amours<\/strong><\/h3>\nIt sounds more romantic in French…<\/p>\nCatch your loved ones, and head straight to the Love Bridge.<\/strong> Spend some time there, passionately kissing each other, and mostly your other halves, without which you wouldn’t even have those little ones that can sometimes drive you crazy.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6258\" kiss on that bridge, their love will be eternal (in my case, it has proved so for the previous 16 years). Even if you don’t have somebody to kiss at that moment, but you wish to feel that kind of devotion in that place with the view to the lake and mountains, it is worth paying the visit to.<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy_6.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6279\" src=\"http:\/\/savourytrips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Annecy_6.jpg\" alt=\"Weekend in France, Annecy\" width=\"2048\" height=\"1365\"><\/a><\/p>\nAnother Venice<\/strong><\/p>\nWalk down the canals of the Annecy’s old town<\/strong> with your kids… they would love running and looking for fish, and it’s certainly going to leave a strong impression on you…which would affect your even greater bonding as a family or a love couple.<\/p>\nHowever, if you’re alone, I am sure that this walk along the canals would inspire you to some love or life decisions <\/strong>you didn’t dare make until then.
